So glad I played this! Though it took me a few tries to figure out how this game worked and I died a few times along the way, it just made me all the more determined to find what was at the end of those long caves full of Knife Wifes. Though the game was playful in nature, the minimalist dungeon designs and the tension from having no save states and limited resources meant that it does function well as a sort of deconstruction.
ahh this is so tough… i did what i would if this was a real life scenario and just escaped from every encounter? but still i couldn’t beat it. it did feel kind of painful to run away from the knife wife. i will be thinking about the knife wife

I ended a whole zero lives on my succesful attempt so I think she just has the wrong girl.
