I spent 50 fucking minutes running the Dog Gauntlet, trying to get to floor 2 so I could have a ghost of a chance to fight a Skeleton + Dog troop, while still having enough MP to blast both.
I only found this after. (spoiler)

i ran from everything until i got the evil sycthe, then switched to gleaming cleaver at the very end... which i think was a mistake lol
edit: i did really like "five gatekeepers" as a meta-joke lol
This rocks! Great twist on the Dalig gameplay.
Unique choice to make the bad ending the harder one to attain, too!
